there’s more… |
The second edition of the Piokelde Post, from February 1946.
There are adverts for local cafés and stores, on the back cover.
The Piokelde Post was the Hong Kong Services Rover Crew’s own magazine. The first edition, dated January 1946, must actually have been printed earlier, probably December 1945, as it contains plans and a call to action for a Boxing Day dinner with local boys.
The first edition has the motto Haec olim meminisse javabit: “The Memory of these things will bring Great Joy in the Future”.
